Earth With Heaven

“Earth with Heaven” - (Original) Conté crayon on cotton handmade paper
I loved the idea of pairing these earth and skies side by side instead of vertically. Just a simple reminder, that heaven is closer than we think and is all around us. We often forget to look up but to pair these drawings side by side makes them seem like partners. I wanted them to be monochromatic but decided to do the sky a different color and the compliment of warm vs. cool is another nod to the partnership of Heaven and Earth. There is so much more going on above that we take for granted. I truly believe God and Heaven is in every detail of our lives.
Paintings were created with conte crayon and watercolor on handmade cotton paper. Each piece measures at roughly 8”x10” and are framed together in a 16”x20” white distressed frame with a floating off white acid free mat.
Each piece has been sprayed with a fixative that prevents the artwork from fading or smudging. All originals will receive a certificate of authenticity written and signed by me.
