Heavy Are The Clouds Above

“Heavy Are The Clouds Above” (Original) Oil on canvas
This painting was inspired by a run that I took in the park near my apartment. This was when I was trying so hard to go outdoors as often as I could during Covid-19 isolation. I actually had just recovered from a knee and foot injury so I was more than excited to start running again and get out of the house. It seemed like every time I went for a run it would start pouring rain or a storm would be chasing me and the air would be cold and harsh. I couldn’t help but feeling such a heavy feeling of trying so hard to go about my normal life and being beaten down by the Earth. Sometimes we have feelings of heaviness, when a compilation of little things are pushing us. Sometimes even God’s plan for us seems heavy. I wanted this painting to feel wide and heavy with the landscape shape of the painting and also pair dark heavy clouds with some bright white to show the hope and light that will come.
Each painting is done with oil on 100% cotton canvas. The canvases measure at 12” x 24” and .5” deep. They are framed in a natural wood maple floating frame and makes them each measure at 13” x 25” and 1.5” deep. Paintings can be bought as a diptych set or can be sold *separately. I designed them to stand along as well as together and artistically I feel good if they are displayed together or separate. All artwork come ready to frame with framing D rings and wire hardware placed on the back by yours truly.
All oil paintings have been varnished with a UV protective varnish that keeps safe from fading, dust, or damage. All originals will receive a certificate of authenticity written and signed by me.
