Home in Your Arms

from $28.00

I wish there was more artwork about relationships between partners so I created one. There is so much intimacy in a kitchen especially one at home. You make meals together, you clean together, you make gingerbread treats together. And such a sense of HOME especially in your own kitchen. You know where every detail belongs; the whisk, the jelly, the last remaining tiny fork all have their place. Just like a partner you know inside and out and feel completely at home when you are with them. Eating provides nourishment and comfort, and so can your partner and so can a big hug. Through hard times and good times a good close embrace can usually make things shine a little brighter. Shout out to this vintage frame I found that completes this painting. I don’t think I could allow it to have the frame changed. I decided to gold leaf the background edges of the floral details of this frame to add that little gold sparkle but still not take away from the overall composition of the painting with it’s frame. This painting has a partner and her partner is this frame.
